IT Optimization Management Consultant

Burwood Group has an immediate need for experienced IT leaders with the desire and ability to “consult” with some of our top clients in the areas of Service Management, IT Organization Alignment, Business Process Improvement and Vendor Management.  These are the core solutions areas which comprise Burwood’s IT Optimization Practice which is designed to help clients maximize the value and benefit of the IT Infrastructure for today’s increasingly complex IT service models

Job Summary:

IT Optimization Management Consultants are senior level positions within Burwood which have held senior leadership positions as either an IT Director or Management Consultant who will work with our clients in a variety of capacities to help them increase the value of the IT infrastructure and supporting organizations.  This may be accomplished by helping clients evolve the maturity of the organization through the adoption of industry best practices such as ITIL or COBIT, by helping clients better align the organization structure and capabilities with the needs of the business and IT service portfolios, by helping clients with an important sourcing decision or developing and administering a RFP.

These are examples of the type of work the IT Optimization Management Consultant performs.  Additionally, IT Optimization Management Consultants will have the opportunity to lead client engagements and function in a project management and mentor capacity to help ensure the successful delivery of these and other types of project.  IT Optimizations Management Consultants will also assist with business development activities as an IT Optimization “expert” to help champion the services both externally as well as internally within Burwood.

IT Optimization Management Consultants must have many of the following qualifications:

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve project and customer related issues

• Highly detail oriented and does not leave anything to chance
• Ability to self manage work, time, and priorities
• Ability to work in a team-based project environment is an absolute must
• Consulting experience as well as internal enterprise IT experience
• Excellent leadership, decision-making and people management skills
• Possesses the ability to inspire and motivate others to deliver top quality work
• Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
• Must be a self starter, take the initiative and have the ability to multi-task
• Strives to be the best at what they do and has an uncompromising focus on excellence
