Maggie Walder, PMP
Maggie Walder is the Practice Manager for the East Region Project Management Organization at Burwood Group. She serves as primary team lead for customer-facing program management, bringing knowledgeable and experienced perspective to the planning, architecture, and completion of critical strategy and implementation projects. She drives definition of project outcomes at project commencement, and champions that those outcomes be quantified and measured post project completion. In doing so, she ensures alignment between project results, and organizational strategy and pillars of excellence.
Maggie’s approach to program management focuses on strategic resource inclusion and collaboration. She ensures all appropriate ‘voices’ are captured when developing workflow or system requirements, design and user acceptance testing detail. Her build of comprehensive project plans account for common, widespread dependencies including construction, facilities/infrastructure, application/system integration, and vendor activity, resulting in task plans and schedules that are thorough and risk-aware. She also proactively communicates meaningful information to the right people, at the right time, in the right format.
In addition, Maggie is responsible for internal Healthcare operations including resource utilization and profitability, revenue tracking, and budget control. She standardizes and catalogs best practice processes, templates, and delivery tools, and supports coordination of internal team pre-sales activity.
Prior to joining Burwood Group, Maggie worked in sales at a national, for-profit online university. She received a LEAN Sensei Belt, LEAN Six Sigma from Villanova University, is PMP certified and graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Michigan.
In her spare time, Maggie enjoys rooting for the Michigan Wolverines (Go Blue!), eating all the pizza, staying active outside, and laughing with her husband, daughter, and son.
