Mark Theoharous
President

Mark Theoharous founded Burwood Group in 1997. Mark brings over 20 years of technology and consulting experience and an extensive background in networking, security, and technology/systems architecture.

His previous consulting experience included careers at Andersen Consulting (Accenture) and First Consulting Group. He was also the founding partner of a consultancy in Phoenix, Arizona.

Mark combines a strong technology focus with extensive experience working with the healthcare industry. He has assisted numerous clients with all levels of systems, network and security initiatives. His deep skills and knowledge, combined with his industry and consulting experience, have made him a trusted strategic partner.

It is Mark's belief that business skills and technical understanding combined with real-world experience is what makes a consultant successful. He continues his service to a wide client-base through the consultants at Burwood Group. Selecting and developing the best people is the key to Burwood's success. Mark's passion for his work and the quality and value of each engagement permeate the Burwood Group organization.

Mark currently participates in many industry and vendor events and is on the Advisory Board for the CMP Media Institute for Professional Education Division's Channel Elite MBA program. He received a B.S. degree in Engineering from Michigan State University and an MBA degree in M.I.S. from Indiana University.

Jim Hart
Senior Vice President

Jim Hart joined Burwood Group in 1998 to lead go-to-market strategy and business development. He is the Senior Vice President and co-owner of Burwood Group and has over seventeen years of consulting, advanced technology and organizational re-engineering experience across financial, healthcare, high-tech and retail vertical markets.

Jim serves as a trusted advisor to clients for business/technology alignment, process optimization and quality/performance improvement. He focuses on linking strategy to front-line execution by creating sustainable programs that allow clients to benchmark their organizational effectiveness, drive measurable results and elevate their people, process and technology maturity.

Among other industries, Jim focuses his time on Burwood’s healthcare practice. He is the creator and moderator of an executive level Healthcare IT Forum that Burwood sponsors as well as a member of the board of directors of the National Alliance for Health Information Technology (NAHIT). He is active with NAHIT and the work they have done in New Orleans with the Louisiana Department of Public Health. He also works closely with the American Hospital Association (AHA). Jim speaks regularly at Burwood seminars and also at events sponsored by NAHIT, AHA, HCCA, HIMSS, and other healthcare organizations.

While in grad school Jim worked on Westinghouse's global network operations team. Upon graduation he joined Accenture focusing on technology strategy and large-scale systems integration. He was the lead architect on a project team that developed a comprehensive multimedia development framework leveraged for solution delivery globally across the company. After leaving Accenture he joined a small startup in Phoenix as the first employee that grew into a growing concern. While there he was retained by upper-level technology management at one of the world's largest financial services organizations to develop global network strategies and drive business/IT alignment.

Jim earned a B.S. in Computer and Information Science and a Masters in Telecommunications from the University of Pittsburgh. He earned his CCIE (Certified Cisco Internetworking Engineer) in 1997.

Jeff Hartweg
Vice President, Infrastructure Technology Consulting

Jeff Hartweg joined Burwood Group in 2003 and is Vice President of the Infrastructure Technology Consulting business unit, which delivers on all infrastructure projects for Burwood Group. He brings over eighteen years of advanced technology and program management experience primarily in the manufacturing, insurance and consumer financial vertical markets. He has developed technology strategies for both large international and small, regional organizations and implemented these strategies with great success.

Prior to joining Burwood, Jeff was a Senior Manager, Program Management at Sapient, a technical architect for Bank One, and a network architect at GE Capital.

Jeff holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Iowa and a Masters in Technology Strategy from Northwestern University.

Kevin Stewart
Vice President, Chief Technology Officer

Kevin Stewart is a technically oriented experienced architect with extensive network, network operating system, software architecture, network and database design experience. At Burwood, Kevin handles a dual role as project manager and technical resource on various client projects. He provides evaluations of various technologies to determine what new solutions the company may deliver.

Prior to joining Burwood, Kevin held various technical roles at companies such as Commerx, Inc., First Consulting Group, Integrated Systems Consulting Group and Mobil Oil Research and Development Corporation.

Kevin completed his B.S. in Computer Engineering from Bucknell University in 1991. He completed Cisco Certified Security Professional certification and is also certified in various Microsoft technologies.
